House hunters are being invited to take a closer look at a new development in Highworth this weekend, as a fresh show home opens its doors for the first time.
The launch, taking place on Saturday 25 April, will see visitors welcomed to Honeymans Helm, a scheme by David Wilson Homes situated just off Shrivenham Road.
At the centre of the event is the unveiling of the three-bedroom “Langstone” property, one of a selection of homes designed to appeal to a range of buyers — from first-time purchasers to those looking for more space.
Set across three floors, the Langstone has been laid out with modern living in mind. The ground floor centres on an open-plan kitchen and dining area, complete with French doors leading out to the garden, alongside a separate study that reflects the growing demand for home working space.
Upstairs, the property continues over two levels, with a lounge, main bedroom with en suite, two further double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The Langstone joins two other show homes already available to view at the development — the four-bedroom Culver and the five-bedroom Burlington — giving visitors a broader sense of what’s on offer across the site.
A number of properties in this style are currently available, with incentives on selected plots including part exchange schemes and financial contributions towards stamp duty or deposits, alongside upgraded kitchens.
Emma Hawkins, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said the launch offers a useful opportunity for prospective buyers to see the homes up close.
“It’s a chance to experience the quality and design firsthand,” she said. “Even if people can’t attend on the day, we’d encourage them to visit afterwards during normal opening hours.”
The development itself is being positioned as a community-focused scheme, with around 10 acres of green space and local amenities within walking distance. Highworth’s shops, pubs and restaurants are roughly half a mile away.
For those commuting further afield, links via the M4 and nearby Swindon station provide connections to Bristol, Reading and London.
For now, though, the focus is on the weekend launch — and the chance for would-be buyers to step inside and see what’s on offer for themselves.
