Debenhams is understood to be considering closing a number of its UK stores according to the Telegraph today.
The 205 year old department store is reported to be looking at closing up to 50 UK stores.
If reports in the Telegraph are to believed closures are expected to be announced on Thursday 25th October when the retailer presents its annual results.
