Businesses from Swindon and Wiltshire will be the first to hear the quarterly Inflation Report from Malindi Myers, Bank of England South West Deputy Agent, at the MHA Monahans Bank of England breakfast, to be held on Thursday 15 August, from 7:30 am, at the Double Tree Hilton, in Lydiard Fields, Swindon.
At the breakfast, Malindi Myers will discuss the quarterly inflation report, due to be published 1 August, and give her analysis of the regional economy and business conditions.
“This event is your perfect opportunity to find out what’s happening in the global economies and financial markets, alongside great networking opportunities and a breakfast roll,” said Dominic Bourquin, Partner at MHA Monahans. “It’s a chance to get a practical insight, and to discuss how businesses in Swindon and Wiltshire will be affected.”
Malindi Myers became an Agent for the Bank of England South West area in April 2018. Before she joined the Bank of England, Malindi worked for HM Treasury; the Office for National Statistics; the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Commission. Her work has mainly been on economic policy formulation and appraisal, as well as providing evidence to underpin economic policy.
Prior to her government career, Malindi studied economics at Durham University and environmental economics at University College London. She grew up in Kenya and previously rowed for Great Britain winning four World Championship medals.
