A local coach operator is giving schools the chance to save on the cost of their next educational visit by launching a competition to win free transport for a school trip.
Barnes Coaches has announced a new community initiative inviting people to nominate a school from Wiltshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire or Gloucestershire to receive free private coach hire for a UK day trip.
The competition is open to parents, teachers and members of the public, who simply need to submit the name of their chosen school along with a short explanation of why it deserves to win.
The winning school will be selected at random after the competition closes on 31 July.
Barnes Coaches says the initiative has been created to support local schools at a time when budgets remain under pressure and educational visits can be increasingly expensive to organise.
School trips play an important role in bringing classroom learning to life, giving pupils the opportunity to explore new places, develop confidence and create lasting memories beyond the school gates.
The prize covers private coach hire for a school day trip anywhere within the UK, subject to availability and the company’s terms and conditions.
Entries should be emailed to coachhire@barnescoaches.co.uk before the closing date.
Barnes Coaches hopes the competition will give something back to the communities it serves while helping one lucky school provide an unforgettable experience for its pupils.
Full details, including the competition terms and conditions, are available on the Barnes Coaches website.
