A man was assaulted by a large group of youths in North Swindon and Wiltshire Police are appealing for information.

At approximately 6.30pm on Friday 12 April, a 22-year-old man was in the car park outside McDonalds at The Orbital when a large group of boys approached him and assaulted him.

He sustained injuries to his head and hand and suffered cuts to his eye which required specialist treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford the following day.

Det Con Suzanne Yeardley said: “This incident happened during a busy time of the evening and I believe there would have been people in the area who witnessed what happened.

“If this was you, please get in touch as we are really keen to obtain witness accounts.”
