A 15-year-old DJ and music producer tipped for a bright future in the dance music scene is set to make his Swindon debut later this month.
Max Winfield, from Cirencester, will join a line-up of local DJs and live performers at Cotswold House Mafia Knights, a house and dance music event taking place at The Victoria in Old Town on Friday 19 June.
Despite his age, Max has already begun attracting attention well beyond the local music scene, with performances in Ibiza and Amsterdam under his belt and growing support from some of the industry’s most recognised names and platforms.
The event is being organised by Cotswold House Mafia, a collective of music enthusiasts and DJs who have built a reputation for bringing together lovers of house, breakbeat and bass-driven electronic music in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere.
Alongside a programme of local DJs, the evening will feature live saxophone performances and a soundtrack spanning uplifting house music, deep grooves and dancefloor favourites.
For many attending, however, the spotlight is likely to fall on one of the youngest performers on the bill.
Max’s journey into dance music began at an early age, inspired by classic piano house tracks played by his father. That influence remains central to his sound today, combining melodic piano-driven elements with modern house and tech house production.
While house music sits firmly at the heart of his work, he has also explored a variety of musical styles including blues and jazz, helping shape a sound that is both contemporary and rooted in strong musical foundations.
His growing reputation received a major boost in 2025 when he was awarded a Toolroom Academy Artist Development Scholarship, providing opportunities to collaborate with established producers, artists and vocalists within the electronic music industry.
Since then, his profile has continued to rise.
Last year he performed at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), one of the world’s most influential electronic music gatherings, appearing alongside established artists at a Love To Be Records showcase. He has also played at high-profile venues including Ocean Beach, UNVRS and Hï Ibiza.
More recently, Max impressed audiences at Shindig Festival, where his set earned praise from festivalgoers and industry figures alike.
His productions have attracted support from BBC Introducing, Kiss, Select Radio, Toolroom Radio and broadcaster Mistajam, helping introduce his music to a wider audience.
Several releases are scheduled throughout 2026 on labels including Curious Energy Records, Vivifier, DT Weapons and Fools Paradise, a sign of growing confidence in his abilities as both a producer and performer.
For organisers of Cotswold House Mafia Knights, securing Max for his first Swindon appearance represents an opportunity to showcase emerging talent alongside experienced local performers.
While the electronic music industry has always been known for discovering talent at a young age, opportunities to see a producer already gaining international attention before they are old enough to legally enter many venues remain relatively rare.
Whether he is destined for the biggest stages in dance music remains to be seen, but those attending The Vic later this month may well be able to say they saw him before everyone else did.
Cotswold House Mafia Knights takes place at The Victoria, Old Town, Swindon, on Friday 19 June. The event will feature local DJs, live saxophone and a selection of house, tech house and breakbeat music throughout the evening.
