Following the remarkable success of his double bill screening at The Parade Cinema in Marlborough, acclaimed director Richard Bazley is set to return with a special showing of his films Censure and Confines at The Pound Arts in Corsham. This event is particularly poignant, as much of Confines was filmed in the local area, providing a unique opportunity for residents to engage with the art created right on their doorstep.
Scheduled for 12th November, the double bill will not only showcase both films but also feature a Q&A session with Bazley along with selected cast and crew members. This promises to be an enriching experience for attendees, who will have the chance to gain insight into the filmmaking process and the stories behind these celebrated works.
Richard Bazley expressed his excitement: “Our films have been screened globally, from the Espace Miramar Theatre in Cannes to the Producer’s Club in New York and the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills. I am thrilled to bring our films back home, where they were filmed, and to present them to a local audience. Censure and Confines have collectively garnered over 60 awards to date, and I’m eager to share them with the community.”
The previous screening at The Parade Cinema was met with enthusiasm and included an interview with Bazley on BBC Points West. This time, another national television station is expected to be in attendance, further highlighting the significance of this local event.
