Swindon boss Alun Rossiter knows “it’s all or nothing” heading into their SGB Premiership Play-Off Semi-Final second leg with Poole at the Abbey tonight.
After suffering last-gasp heartache in the Knockout Cup at Belle Vue on Friday, the Carpets4Less Robins need to seal an aggregate win to keep their season alive.
They hold a two-point lead after the first leg at Wimborne Road a fortnight ago and will be firm favourites to progress.
However, Rossiter insists his side cannot take the talented Pirates lightly – and he is determined to move one step closer to title glory.
“It’s is all or nothing,” Rossiter said. “Our season could be done and dusted if we don’t win, so we know what’s at stake and we’re determined to get the job done.
“To be entering your home leg with any sort of lead is a favourable position to be in. It’s only a two-point lead and it could’ve been more, but we should be able to win at our home track.
“We know Poole will be coming with the pressure off and looking to cause a surprise, but we just need to remain focused and do what we’ve got to do to reach the final.”
Admission has been slashed to just £10 for all adults for the meeting with a big crowd expected to back the Robins in play-off action.
The Robins will use Liam Carr in place of the injured Zach Wajtknecht, whilst they are otherwise at full strength.
SWINDON: Jason Doyle, Adam Ellis, Tobiasz Musielak, David Bellego, Nick Morris, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Liam Carr.
POOLE: Brady Kurtz, Jack Holder, Edward Kennett, Timo Lahti, Hans Andersen, Paul Starke, James Shanes.
