Swindon will know their Grand Final opponents by 10pm tonight.
Belle Vue have seen their leg of the semi-final with reigning champions Wolverhampton delayed twice due to the weather – but they have quickly agreed a third date.
And whatever the outcome, Alun Rossiter’s Robins know they’ll be hosting the first leg of the Grand Final at the Abbey on Monday 2nd October – and the club have pegged admission at normal prices!
In a stunning gesture for supporters, club bosses have gone against tradition which has seen a supplement added for the prestigious event by keeping at the normal prices and are hoping to see the Abbey packed out once again.
“The fans make a big difference,” said boss Rossiter. “Whoever we face, Belle Vue or Wolverhampton, we know they’ll bring plenty of fans and we need our own to be in good voice.
“It’s vital for us to get a handy first leg lead, so our supporters need to get right behind us.”
