Silverware keeps on coming for Swindon star Nick Morris!

Morris won the Championship Riders’ title representing his second tier side Berwick at Glasgow – despite a horror crash.

The Australian survived a horrendous semi-final pile-up with home star Richard Lawson to win a thrilling final at Ashfield last night.

The former Glasgow hero made a dream start in the decider to outpace former Grand Prix winner Chris Harris and another home rider Richie Worrall.

Morris, one of Swindon’s title heroes, admitted: “I feel pretty second-hand. It was a big crash in the semi and I got banged up.

“I also wrote my bike off and gave my inner thigh a big whack. So to get through the semi and then win the final is just great.

“I needed a big start and the second bike worked great for me. I’m stoked because I’ve had a great season winning the league title with Swindon and now this.

“I’m also delighted to win a trophy for the Berwick fans and promotion, they deserve this for all their hard work.”

Glasgow’s Richie Worrall was impressive with an unbeaten 15 points in the qualifying heats but had no answer to Morris and Harris in the final.
