With a brand-new season just around the corner and with England hosting this years’ Rugby League World Cup, excitement is rising at local Rugby League club Swindon St George.
The NALGO Sports based club is planning a big season of competition across no less than five disciplines of Rugby League including two open age men’s sides, women’s team and a Masters team for the over 35s.

Training for all these sections starts on Wednesday 6th April 6.30pm at NALGO Sports Club, Cricklade Road.
A full season of Wheelchair rugby is being planned, making the game available to everyone, regardless of age, sex, ability or disability with training sessions taking place at 6.30pm, every Friday at Deanery Academy, Wichelstow.
Finally, to complete the line-up the hugely popular junior coaching scheme, catering for ‘Little Leaguers’, boys and girls aged from four years upwards will take place each Sunday from 9 – 10am.
Club chairman Warren Huggins enthuses ‘Our underlying aim is to be a totally inclusive community club and, as such, welcome anyone and everyone who enjoys fitness, fun and friendship through good sport.
‘No previous experience is necessary as top-quality coaching is available and, whether it’s as a player, helper or spectator, Swindon St George would love to have you on board’.
