Pickleball Festival Delivers Unforgettable Weekend in Swindon

A thrilling weekend of Pickleball in Swindon lived up to its promise—perhaps exceeding it, as more than 200 players brought speed, skill and camaraderie to the Delta Tennis Centre over two action-packed days.

Participants even journeyed from Fife, enduring a 7½-hour drive each way, and from Belfast, underscoring the festival’s growing reach.

Several players spoke warmly of the experience. Claire Robertson from Essex, reflecting on her long drive, said: “It was absolutely worth the journey—what a superb atmosphere, great matches and top-tier hospitality.”

Liam O’Connell, joining from Manchester, added: “Coming down wasn’t just about the pickleball; it was about the banter, making new friends and sheer joy of being part of something so vibrant.”

One of Swindon Pickleball’s organisers, Andy Lovegrove couldn’t help but beam with pride: “This year we saw over 200 players from all over—some really epic journeys to get here. The energy, the spirit—it’s what makes this festival so special. Plans for next year are already brewing!”
