Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorist failed to stop after a collision in Toothill, Swindon.
Around 4.30pm on Saturday 30th December 2017, a 35-year-old woman was crossing Edington Close with her two-year-old son when a black car reversed suddenly; instinctively she threw the child to safety before being hit by the car and falling to the ground. Neither mum or son suffered serious injuries.
The driver then drove away from the scene without attempting to stop.
PC Dan Thomas said: “A witness did approach the woman after this but we don’t have his details – if that was you please come forward.
“Also, if anyone else heard or saw this incident or anything suspicious -perhaps involving a black car – in this area at this time, please contact me.”
If you can help with police enquiries please contact PC Dan Thomas on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
