Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Kingshill, Swindon, in which a woman in her 20s was assaulted by an unknown suspect.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, 15th January, between 6.05am and 6.10am in the alleyway connecting Albion Street and William Street. During the attack, the suspect attempted to snatch the woman’s bag before fleeing the scene.
The suspect has been described as around 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a hoodie or jacket, dark-coloured bottoms—possibly pyjama trousers—and a cap.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area between 6am and 6.30am and either witnessed the incident or noticed any suspicious activity.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the victim, and we are urging anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area around that time to come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could help our investigation.”
