Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident outside St Joseph’s Catholic College in Swindon last Thursday (21st November), where a cyclist collided with an 11-year-old girl before leaving the scene.
The collision took place on Ocotal Way between 4pm and 4.20pm. The young girl was knocked to the ground, suffering a fractured finger along with other injuries. However, rather than stopping to check on the child’s welfare, the cyclist reportedly rode away.
The suspect is described as a white woman of slim build, with grey hair tied in a top bun with a fringe. She was wearing a black padded jacket and Skechers trainers.
Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who might have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time to come forward.
A spokesperson for Police said: “This was a distressing experience for the young girl involved. We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen the collision or can provide details about the cyclist.”
