Awdry Law, a leading law firm in Wiltshire, has appointed a fresh face to the role of Managing Partner.
Alistair Everett, who has held the position of Managing Partner since 2020, has gracefully chosen to step aside from the position. His successor, Alexander David, an esteemed Equity Partner within the firm, is set to take the reins. Alistair will continue his journey with Awdry Law, lending his expertise as a member of the Management Board and spearheading the firm’s burgeoning Conveyancing department.
Reflecting on his tenure, Alistair remarked, “Together with the Leadership Team and all the fabulous people here, we’ve implemented many changes and made great progress across the business over several years. It’s been a huge privilege and honour to be Managing Partner of this fantastic firm.”
He continued, expressing his confidence in Alexander’s capabilities, stating, “Many congratulations to Alex. He brings a lot of experience and many talents, and I know he will be a great success in the role. I am continuing as an Equity Partner and a member of the Management Board and will continue to do everything I can to support all the wonderful people in Awdry Law and help the firm go from strength to strength.”
The baton passes to Alexander David, a stalwart figure within Awdry Law’s Management Board, boasting a commendable 16-year tenure with the firm. His journey has seen him at the helm of the family law department before pivotal involvement in the development and progression of the Private Client Department. Notably, Alex has also been instrumental in various compliance initiatives, including risk management.
Speaking on the transition, Alex remarked, “Alistair has done a superb job at navigating the firm through a period of great positive change. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work alongside him during his time as Managing Partner, and I know that this sentiment is shared right across the firm.”
He added, expressing his optimism for the future and acknowledging the invaluable contributions of Alistair, “Moving forward, it is fantastic that Alistair will be the driving force behind many aspects of the business in his key role as Partner and a senior member of the Management Board.”
Alex concluded, “It is an absolute privilege to be the Managing Partner of this great firm. I am optimistic for the future for a number of reasons, but the biggest reason is the people that make up this wonderful firm; there are great people everywhere in the firm, and with their goodwill and support, there is no doubt in my mind that Awdry Law and its people will achieve and prosper long into the future.”
