Wiltshire Financial Firm Grows Footprint with New Offices in Bristol and Newbury

Wiltshire-based financial planning firm Chilvester Financial has expanded its reach with the opening of two new branch offices – one in Bristol, the other in Newbury – strengthening its presence along the M4 corridor.

The move follows the firm’s relocation to larger headquarters in Chippenham two years ago and supports its ongoing commitment to serve a growing number of clients across the South West and beyond.

Chilvester, which marked 25 years in business in 2023, already had a foothold in Bristol following its 2022 acquisition of Sovereign Asset Management. The firm also has a well-established client base across Marlborough and the Newbury region, making the latest expansion a logical next step.

Natural progression of growth

Sam Binstead, Investment Director at Chilvester, said the decision to open both new offices came as part of a long-term strategy.

“When we took on Sovereign Asset Management, we knew there would be a period of transition for clients. The Bristol office has always been part of the wider plan,” he said.

“Newbury was also a priority. We have many clients in and around the area, and this new branch means they can now meet us closer to home.”

Reaching further, serving better

Managing Director Andy Tottman added that the firm’s Chippenham base remains the central hub for operations, but the new branches mean the business can serve clients more efficiently across a broader area.

“The move to Chippenham supported our growth, and it remains our headquarters,” said Andy.

“But now, with these branches, we can cover a wide swathe of the region – from Bristol to Reading – and ensure clients have better access to face-to-face support when they need it.”

He also noted that the expansion could lead to local recruitment in both areas, contributing to the wider economy and community.

Tailored financial support

While Chilvester remains keen to meet clients in person when possible – especially in the early stages of advice – Andy pointed out that flexibility remains key.

“We always work to suit the needs of our clients. That might mean a video call or a visit to one of our offices,” he said.
“But when someone comes to us for the first time, we prefer to sit down with them. It helps us build a relationship and offer truly personal guidance.”

With a 14-strong team and an experienced leadership group that collectively brings around a century’s worth of industry knowledge, Chilvester continues to offer tailored support for those planning for retirement, managing assets, exploring equity release, or navigating business finance.

The new offices are located at Oxford Street, Newbury, and Prince Street, Bristol, while the headquarters remains in Avon Reach, Chippenham.
