Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge Raises Over £8,300, Enabling Vulnerable Young People to Attend Life-Changing Programme

The recently completed Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge has not only been an exhilarating adventure for those involved but has also had a profound impact on the lives of vulnerable young people in Wiltshire.

This remarkable event, held on Saturday 17th June, witnessed the triumph of 76 participants as they conquered three of Wiltshire’s highest peaks, while raising an impressive sum of over £8,300.

This generous contribution will enable 15 young individuals to attend a transformative 6-day Mountain Camp this summer, empowering them with invaluable experiences.

Organised by the Youth Adventure Trust, the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge aimed to combine outdoor exploration and physical endurance with making a tangible local difference.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels embraced the challenge, walking, jogging, and running through the awe-inspiring Pewsey Vale in Wiltshire. The event not only showcased the natural beauty of the region but also exemplified the remarkable resilience and determination of its participants.

The funds raised through the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge will empower the Youth Adventure Trust, an esteemed charity, to support vulnerable young people across Wiltshire through outdoor adventure and one-on-one guidance. With the funds equivalent to covering the expenses for 15 individuals to attend the Mountain Camp this summer, the participants are making a genuine impact on the lives of young people like Katie, aged 13, who shared, “The biggest change I’ve noticed is how resilient I’ve become. I have a more positive outlook and I keep pushing myself.”
