In just two weeks’ time, the country is expected to move to Step Three of the lockdown roadmap meaning that from May 17th a whole host of indoor and outdoor attractions to welcome back visitors.
The government is expected to give the plans the green light on May 10th.
During Step Three of the roadmap, there will still be limitations on how many people can meet in an indoor setting with the rule of six in place, which restricts gatherings of up to six people, or two households of any size.
Outdoors, the rule of six will be replaced with a new limit of 30 people in a single group.
Conference centres, exhibition halls and events will also be able to restart subject to the capacity limits set out by the government – 50 per cent of capacity up to 1,000 people for indoor events, and 50 per cent of capacity up to 4,000 people for outdoor events.
For outdoor events taking place in venues with seated capacity of over 16,000, event organisers may apply a 25 per cent capacity cap, up to a maximum of 10,000 seated people.
Events must comply with Covid-secure guidelines.
