A local supermarket worker is speaking out about people discarding used disposable gloves in the car park as they get back in to their cars, exposing them and others to more risk.
A Lidl worker, who wanted to remain anonymous, says he and his co-workers have witnessed many people throwing their gloves to the ground, leaving others to pick them up.

“Despite all of the social media noise about us being ‘key workers’ and people coming out on Thursday to give us a clap, it appears when they actually go shopping they don’t even give us a second thought!”
After taking a short walk around the Lidl, Home Bargains and Iceland Food Warehouse car park on Great Western Way, we saw numerous gloves just thrown to the floor, everywhere, people are just throwing them to the floor when they are done shopping.
Dropping the gloves, that maybe protecting you from coronavirus to the floor, will still need to be picked up by someone else to be disposed of, and any unwanted germs, specifically the virus, could then be transported to the person throwing them away, therefore continuing the spread of COVID-19.
