Thames Water have today issues a warning to drivers to expect disruption on a main route through Swindon later this week as they carry out repairs to a water leak.
Scheduled to start on 22nd November the work on Queens Drive is expected to be complete by the 24th.
A ‘Planned Maintenance with potential traffic disruption notice’ states “We need to repair a leak that could be affecting the pressure or water supply in this area.
“We’ll minimise any disruption and keep everyone updated as we complete our repairs. Sometimes, we need more time, for example, to get the right permit or permission from the local council, however we’ll be sure to finish our works as soon as possible.
Residents worried about a loss of supply at this time are advised that Thames Water will be on hand to supply a temporary water supply if necessary: “If we need to provide a temporary supply of water until our we’ve finished our repair work, we’ll find the best options available and let you know what we’re doing.”
