Warminster Site Manager Wins Coveted NHBC Quality Award

A Wiltshire site manager has been recognised with one of the construction industry’s highest accolades. Chris Francis, who leads the Jubilee Gardens development in Warminster, has been awarded the prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Award by the National House Building Council (NHBC), highlighting his dedication to excellence in homebuilding.

Chris is one of 15 site managers from Persimmon Homes to receive the honour in 2025, underscoring the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering homes of outstanding quality. At Jubilee Gardens, Chris works alongside assistant site manager Mark Hayton, with both playing a key role in the development’s success.

The accolade arrives as Persimmon awaits planning approval for the fourth phase of Jubilee Gardens, which could see a further 266 homes built, raising the total number of new properties at the site to 772 – a significant boost for Warminster’s housing stock.

The Pride in the Job competition, which is open to all site managers on NHBC Buildmark warranty-registered developments, is renowned within the industry as a mark of exceptional quality and site management standards. Quality Award winners such as Chris will go on to compete for the Seal of Excellence, with hopes of progressing to Regional and Supreme Awards in January 2026.

Speaking on his achievement, Chris said: “I’m extremely proud to receive this award – it reflects the dedication and attention to detail that everyone on site shows every single day. At Jubilee Gardens, we’re committed to building not just homes but a real sense of community that residents can enjoy for years to come. It’s a privilege to be part of that and to see our hard work recognised.”

Seb Spiller, Managing Director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, praised Chris’s efforts, adding: “This is a fantastic achievement for Chris and his team at Jubilee Gardens. His professionalism, drive, and focus on quality are a credit to the business and an example of the standards we strive for at every site. This award is well earned and speaks to the pride Chris and his team take in what they do.”

With Warminster set to benefit from hundreds of new homes and high-quality construction, the Pride in the Job award not only celebrates individual excellence but signals continued progress in providing much-needed housing in the region.
