Wetherspoons customers face a price hike after the pub chain has increased the cost of some of its most popular meals.
Among the food subject to increases of up to 4 per cent, include the burger and drink deal.
The news comes just days after Chancellor Philip Hammond’s announced his Budget that will see a two pence increase on the price of a pint from next week.
The Sunday People reports the ever-popular burger and drink deal has already risen from £7.25 to £7.40 and the chicken burger from £4.59 to £4.75.
A pint of Kronenbourg has also risen by ten pence to £3.19, it reported.
Some customers accused the pub of introducing new menus to disguise price rises.
Wetherspoons dominates the UK pub trade with more than 950 branches mostly due to its reasonable food and drink.
Last year the chain also angered punters after ditching its popular Sunday roast in favour of burgers and all-day breakfasts.
Defending the move, a spokesman for the chain said: “We have introduced a new menu with some new products and there maybe some changes on food and drink prices.
“We aim to remain extremely competitive. However we will not comment on individual prices.”
Hammond’s Budget hit Brit boozers on Wednesday with a rise in duties. A bottle of wine is set to rise eight pence from Monday, while prosecco is up ten pence and a bottle of vodka 40p.
