Dominic Raab has this afternoon given an update on the Prime Minister’s condition, “He is still in intensive care but continues to make positive steps and is in good spirits,” he says.
Dominic Raab then went on to confirm that the lockdown announced three weeks ago by Boris Johnson will only be reviewed once we have more data which confirms we are beyond the peak of the virus which means that until this review takes place, the restrictions remain in place.
“The early signs suggest they are having an impact,” he says, “until we have got evidence that shows we have moved beyond the peak”.
“We mustn’t give the coronavirus a second chance to kill more people. I know it is tough going but this is a team effort.”
