The NHS have today reported a further two patients, who have tested positive for coronavirus, have sadly passed away at the Great Western Hospital.
One of the deaths occurred yesterday whilst the second death was recorded on the 8th with the test results only coming back in the last 24 hours.
It means there have now been 30 coronavirus-related deaths in Swindon since the pandemic began.
Across England, a total of 823 people who tested positive for the Covid-19 have died.
The youngest death recorded in the last 24 hours was 11 and the oldest 102 years old. 33 of the patients are reported to have had no underlying health conditions.
Of the 823 deaths recorded in England, 115 died yesterday, 10th April.
These figures will be updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed cases reported at 5pm the previous day. Confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure. This means that the totals reported at 5pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days.
These figures do not include deaths outside hospital, such as those in care homes. This approach makes it possible to compile deaths data on a daily basis using up to date figures.
