Swindon Police have issued a warning urging car owners in Old Town to be extra vigilant after two people were arrested on suspicion of vehicle interference.
A man, 44, and a woman, 33, were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning in connection with attempting to open car doors on Kent Road.
They remain in custody at this time and our enquiries are continuing.
A spokesperson for the police force said ‘We would ask residents of Kent Road, Avenue Road and the surrounding area to check their vehicles and ensure they are locked.
‘If you find your vehicle unlocked, we would ask that you check if anything has been stolen or if it has any damage.
‘If so, please contact us immediately on 101 and quote crime reference number 54220083023.’
