Two men, aged 24 and 18, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to throw a prohibited item into a prison.
The arrests came after an incident that unfolded outside Erlstoke Prison on Sunday.
According to reports, a black Audi A7 pulled up near the prison when an individual emerged from the vehicle and threw items over the prison fence. The swift response by prison authorities led to the retrieval of the discarded package.
Upon examination, the package was found to contain illicit items, including a mobile phone, drugs, and tobacco.
The 24-year-old and 18-year-old individuals who were stopped a short time after have been released on bail pending further investigations.
