Swindon’s Twigs Community Gardens is preparing to throw open its gates for a lively Summer Open Day on Sunday, 22nd June. From 11am until 4pm, visitors will be invited to enjoy a day out amid the beautifully tended plots and blossoming greenery.
The community gardens, which have thrived through a warm, dry spring followed by much-needed rain, will offer a variety of attractions. Organically grown plants will be available for sale, providing locals with the perfect opportunity to bring a touch of the gardens into their own homes.
Adding to the atmosphere, live music will be performed on the patio by the talented Blue Notes Choir, promising an enjoyable soundtrack to the day. For those looking to take a break, homemade refreshments will be on sale alongside stalls showcasing local arts and crafts.
The event caters to all ages, with activities planned to keep children entertained throughout the afternoon. Well-behaved dogs on leads are also warmly welcomed, making this a family-friendly occasion in every sense.
Twigs Community Gardens continues to be a cherished green space within the area, providing a peaceful retreat and a chance for the community to come together. The Summer Open Day offers a wonderful chance to explore the gardens, meet fellow gardening enthusiasts, and support local growers and artisans.
