Tributes paid to man who lost his life following collision on A419 last month

The family of a man who died following an incident on the A419 have paid tribute to him, describing him as a ‘kind and caring man’.

Phillip Regan, 58,  of Great Bedwyn, was in collision with a coach on the A419 northbound slip road near to the Great Western Hospital/Commonhead junction at approximately 3pm on August 27th.

Mr Regan, who was on foot at the time of the collision, was taken to Southmead Hospital but he sadly died as a result of his injuries on September 6th.

In a tribute, his family said: “Philip was a kind, caring man who had a passion for antiques and acting. He was loved by his family and a very well regarded member of his local community. He will be sadly missed.”

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and would urge anyone with dash cam footage of the incident to get in touch.
