Tribute paid to 11-year-old girl who died following collision

The 11-year-old girl involved in the road traffic collision in Swindon on Friday (16/11) has sadly died.

Emily Williams was taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital but tragically died yesterday afternoon. Her family would like to make the following tribute:

Your Holiday Starts Now

“Emily was very musical and was always singing.

“Last year, Emily donated her hair to the Little Princess Trust which provides wigs for children who suffer from medical conditions or trauma. Emily’s hair was plaited and had bows and ribbons in and then was professional cut to make the donation.

“Emily has now donated her organs to help others.”

Her family has asked for respect and privacy at this time.

Emily was involved in the collision on Meadowcroft Road, Upper Stratton, at 2pm on Friday. The driver of the vehicle involved, a Mercedes c180, remained on the scene.

The road was closed for several hours to allow traffic collision investigators to examine the scene.

Anyone with information who has not yet come forward, should call 101 and quote log number 197 of 16/11.
