Ryanair to Switch to 100% Digital Boarding Passes from November

Ryanair has announced a major change to its boarding process, confirming that from 12th November 2025 the airline will be moving to 100% digital boarding passes.

Swindon Travel Hub has shared this update with its customers online to ensure travellers are fully aware of the new policy. Under the change, passengers will no longer be able to download and print a physical boarding pass. Instead, they will need to use the digital boarding pass generated in their myRyanair app during check-in to board their flight.

While Ryanair claims the move will make the process more streamlined, it does mean passengers must download and use the Ryanair app ahead of their departure.

Although Swindon Travel Hub does not directly package Ryanair flights, some TUI holiday options may involve Ryanair as the flight provider. As such, this new policy will apply to customers booked on those services.

A spokesperson for Swindon Travel Hub said: “We don’t directly package Ryanair flights with our holidays, but some TUI packages may give customers the option to use them. We’ve shared this announcement online to make customers aware of the change, ensuring they have the app installed and ready for check-in before they travel.”

The update is expected to affect many UK travellers during the busy winter and festive travel period, particularly those less accustomed to using digital boarding systems.
