In an exciting retail collaboration, Toys R Us is set to make a triumphant comeback to the UK high street.
Teaming up withGreenbridge based WHSmith, the beloved toy brand will open shop-in-shops in nine WHSmith High Street stores across the country, including locations in York, Oxford, Reading, and Cheltenham.
The partnership aims to revive the magic of Toys R Us, offering customers a unique shopping experience within WHSmith stores. As visitors step into these dedicated sections, they will be greeted by a life-size Geoffrey the Giraffe 3D sculpture, creating a memorable photo opportunity for families. The shop-in-shops will feature dedicated sections categorised by age, interest, and toy category, complete with interactive experiences, demonstration tables, and iconic visual elements.
Toys R Us enthusiasts can expect a diverse range of products from top toy brands like Barbie, Bluey, Fisher Price, Hot Wheels, Lego, Marvel, Paw Patrol, Peppa Pig, Playmobil, Star Wars, and more. Each shop-in-shop will showcase a carefully selected assortment to cater to every child’s imagination.

The grand opening of the first Toys R Us shop-in-shop will take place on Saturday, 10th June, at the WHSmith Monks Cross Retail Park store in York. This marks a significant milestone in the resurrection of Toys R Us, bringing joy to families once again. Throughout the summer, eight additional shop-in-shops will open their doors in Canterbury, Chelmsford, Cwmbran, Oxford, Poole, Reading, and Solihull.
The return of Toys R Us to the UK high street follows the successful launch of their digital flagship ecommerce website, www.toysrus.co.uk, last year. The website offers an extensive range of toys and products for families, embracing the spirit of play for the next generation of Toys R Us kids.
