The Prime Minister has this morning hinted that Tier 4 restrictions will be made tougher in the next few weeks to stop the growing spread of Covid-19.
Speaking on the Andrew Marr show, Mr Johnson said: “It may be that we need to do things in the next few weeks that will be tougher in many parts of the country. I’m fully fully reconciled to that.
“I bet the people of this country are fully reconciled to that because until the vaccine really comes on stream in a massive way, we’re fighting this virus with the same set of tools.”
When asked what the new restrictions would be, he answered “I’m not going to speculate what they are going to be.”
He also confirmed primary schools would be reopening tomorrow despite Teaching Unions asking for a further two week shut-down.
