The NHS Test and Trace officially launches across England this morning with the help of around 25,000 contact tracers.
The Test and Trace system will see the NHS staff making calls to individuals from 9am telling them to isolate for 14 days, whether they have had coronavirus symptoms or not.
Test and Trace will contact those that have come into contact with someone that has been confirmed as positive with coronavirus, with the aim to cut off the transmission route of the virus.
Matt Hancock confirmed yesterday that the Test and Trace will start today saying: “This system will start tomorrow morning at 9am.
“The first people who will be contacted will be the people who received a positive result today.”
