Since Thomas Cook cease trading last year a prominent retail unit in the town centre has been left closed up with staff members left in turmoil finding work elsewhere.
But now ex-Thomas Cook staff have been given the opportunity to reapply for their jobs – as Hays Travel announce the Regent Street branch will be reopening.
Thomas Cook ceased trading on September 23rd 2019, leaving about 9,000 UK staff without a job and around 150,000 customers stranded abroad, triggering the UK’s largest peacetime repatriation.
Hays Travel went on to acquire the entire retail estate of more than 555 stores and have been reopening them as quickly as possible with the West Swindon branch already open.
