Third Sector Care Workers in Swindon Invited to Enter Prestigious National Awards

Care workers, volunteers, and not-for-profit organisations across Swindon are being encouraged to step into the spotlight as nominations open for the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.

The awards, run by Care Management Matters (CMM) in partnership with the National Care Forum, celebrate the dedication, creativity, and impact of those working in the not-for-profit health and care sector. From grassroots community projects supporting older people and the homeless, to larger organisations such as hospices and care home providers, the awards are open to all.

Crucially, entries are completely free and open to anyone—whether nominating themselves, a colleague, or an entire team. With categories covering a wide range of roles and contributions, organisers are keen to ensure that every corner of the sector has the chance to be recognised.

The closing date for nominations is 7 November 2025, with shortlisted candidates receiving complimentary tickets to the awards ceremony at Birmingham Town Hall on Friday 17 April 2026. The event will bring together leaders and frontline workers from across the UK to celebrate the inspiring stories and achievements of those in the sector.

Simon Johnston, UK Marketing Director at Markel, said:

“Each year, we are moved by the powerful stories of individuals and organisations across the UK. Now, we want to hear from those working in the not-for-profit sector in Swindon to shine a light on their achievements and give them the recognition they truly deserve.”

Lisa Werthmann, Director at CMM, added:

“It is a real privilege to have founded and organised the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards. I urge everyone working in this sector to nominate your colleagues—and yourselves—so that together we can continue to celebrate excellence through what promises to be a truly inspiring occasion.”
