Just twelve months after the penalty heartache for the men’s team in the Euro 2020 final against Italy, England’s Lionesses are looking to go one better and make history in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley this evening.
With an expected record-breaking crowd of lucky spectators in attendance, the host nation take on Germany looking to finally ‘bring football home’.
If you are not heading to Wembley to watch the match you you could cheer on the Lionesses on while enjoying a free drink at one Swindon’s Greene King pubs instead.
Faye Nixon, marketing manager for Greene King Sport, said: “The Women’s Euros has been nothing short of fantastic. The team have broken so many records and we’re all thrilled they’ve made it to the final.
“Whatever happens on Sunday, it’s important we don’t just see this as a one-off moment for women’s sport. We need to do everything we can to continue the buzz that has followed this tournament and inspire the next generation of women in sport.”
