Thamesdown Transport, which was formerly owned by the Council, has announced that it is introducing a contactless fare payment option now available across its fleet.
The bus company’s general manager, Alex Chutter, claimed that all contactless payment types would be accepted, including Apple, Android and Apple Watch.
Thamesdown is the first operator in Swindon to offer this facility, however, other payment methods such as cash and TravelCard are still possible.
The move follows the recent introduction of eight new buses with more expected later this year.
