Tesco has issued an urgent product recall over one of its Christmas snacks.
The supermarket giant warned the item could pose a risk to customers after being incorrectly packaged and are warning customers not to consume the product if they suffer from sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.
The product – Tesco Finest Festive Fruit & Nut Selection (225g) – contains sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the label of some batches of the item.

Tesco said a batch of the product had been mistakenly placed in the Tesco Finest Festive Belgian Dark Chocolate Brazil Nuts packaging with the appropriate health warnings not being made clear.
Tesco said: “This means that sulphur dioxide is not mentioned on the label, so the mispackaged product is a possible risk to customers with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.
“The correctly packed product is not affected.”
The following batch has been affected:
Batch code(s): L0075004
Best before end dates: May 2021
You should not consume the product if you have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites
Instead, you can return the item to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required
