A teenager was robbed in Swindon at the weekend and Wiltshire Police are appealing for information from any witnesses.
The incident happened in Church Walk North, Moredon at approximately 9.15pm on Sunday 11 November.
A 17-year-old boy was walking along the street when he was attacked by a group of three boys – all believed to be in their teens.
The group attempted to grab the victim’s bag, but when he fought back, he was punched and hit over the head.
The group eventually made off with the bag which contained the victim’s wallet and bank card.
Det Con Emma Wood said: “The victim suffered a large wound near to his eye and swelling to his face as a result of this unprovoked incident. He attended the Great Western Hospital for treatment.
“He’s been left incredibly shaken and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information. This is a residential street off of a busy road with a number of shops so it is likely there would have been people or vehicles passing.
“Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54180107084.”
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
