Swindon runners Phillip McDonough and George Webb plan to complete a self-isolation triple marathon this week, that is 78.6 miles, having been unable to do the Brighton Marathon on Sunday as planned.

After losing loved ones to bowel cancer the runners had planned to run the Brighton Marathon to raise money for Bowel & Cancer Research but after the race’s cancellation, have put their months of training to good use and set themselves a gruelling challenge of running 3 marathons in 7 days.
Starting yesterday with an 11 miles run, they plan to continue this daily run through to Saturday before finishing off with 15 miles on Sunday.
The amount raised so far is £1,410. Visit https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/phillip-mcdonough-2 to make a donation.
The run will done during the duo’s self-isolation exercise time and they will ensure they maintain the social distancing rules throughout the week.
