Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2023, a colourful and uplifting celebration championing equality and diversity will take place on August 12th, following its hugely successful event last year, which attracted thousands of spectators in its new home at Queens Park.
Following on from the positive response to the hugely successful event last year, which attracted thousands of spectators in its new home at Queens Park, the LGBTQ+ charity have confirmed they will be returning to the park with a landmark anniversary celebration.

Chairperson Ashley Boyd said: “We’re all so excited to celebrate our 15th anniversary this year in style with our loyal Pride supporters!
“Our committee are hard at work on the plans and we are excited to confirm we’ll be back on Saturday 12th August at Queens Park.”
“South Swindon Parish Council manages the park, and we’re proud to work alongside them to deliver the event. As well as being a lot of fun, this will be a day to show that we are a proud and
diverse community. Pride is a celebration of many different cultures, and everyone will be welcome to join us!”
The celebratory day also promises to boast a vast array of interesting events, amazing entertainment, tasty street food and exciting performances.

The first Swindon Pride was held in 2008, expanding to include the rest of Wiltshire the following year, and has become one of the key events of the summer in the town.
Nationwide Building Society were announced as main sponsor for the festival last year, and the charity are now inviting requests from businesses and organisations interested in supporting the
local LGBTQ+ communities for this summer’s event. The event is run by volunteers, and individuals interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Swindon & Wiltshire Pride.
