Swindon Travel Hub Turns One with a Limited‑Edition Birthday Brew

Swindon’s Old Town will soon be toasting a special milestone, as Swindon Travel Hub celebrates its first year of trading with a birthday beer brewed just for the occasion.

The independent travel agency has teamed up with Broad Town Brewery and one of Old Town’s newest venues, The Pulpit, to create Alpaca My Bags, a tequila and lime‑infused IPA that will be available from 5th August. The beer’s launch coincides with the store’s first birthday, a year on from its opening in August 2024.

The collaboration has been designed as more than just a celebration. Every pint of Alpaca My Bags sold at The Pulpit throughout August comes with an exclusive discount on future holidays booked through Swindon Travel Hub. It is a simple yet inventive way to thank those who have supported the business since it opened its doors.

Shaun Jones, co‑founder of Swindon Travel Hub, explained: “Last year we launched with a beer from Tap & Brew, and this year we got to work with our newest neighbours. The Pulpit has become a real highlight in Old Town, and Broad Town Brewery has a great reputation for characterful brews. Alpaca My Bags felt like a fun way to say thank you and celebrate what has been a brilliant first year.”

Jason from Broad Town Brewery said: “We enjoy working on beers that are a little different, and this one has been a joy. It’s bright, refreshing and has that holiday mood about it. Perfect for raising a glass to Swindon Travel Hub’s first birthday.”

Visitors can sample the new beer at Swindon Travel Hub’s birthday event in August, or simply enjoy it on tap at The Pulpit across the month. Those looking to plan their next getaway can take advantage of the exclusive offer tied to each pint bought at the Broad Town locations.

Since opening in August last year, Swindon Travel Hub has built a strong reputation for its personal service, arranging everything from family holidays and cruises to bespoke trips further afield. Co‑founders Shaun Jones and Ashley Hunt, who between them bring decades of travel industry experience, have placed community links at the heart of their approach.
