It may be nearing the end of September but temperatures in Swindon this weekend will be hotter than Barcelona as summer 2019 comes to an end.
With high pressure building over the UK the rest of this week will see temperatures increase with Friday reaching highs of 22C before Saturday peaking at 25C.
This mid-afternoon temperature is 2 degrees above what is expected for the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Sunday is expected to consist of some thundery downpours triggered by the humid air which is not the best timing if you are planning on running the Swindon Half Marathon.
Next week is going to continue where Sunday left off with the forecast predicting the low pressure weather systems bringing some longer spells of rain with highs of 19C.
