Swindon Primary School Wins Platinum Sports Award

Staff and pupils at Bridlewood Primary School in Swindon are celebrating a significant achievement as they secure the School Games Platinum Mark Award for the 2023/24 academic year.

The School Games Mark, a Government-led award scheme initiated in 2012 and facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, acknowledges schools for their dedication to promoting sports and games both within the school and the local community.

In addition to this prestigious accolade, Bridlewood’s Year 5 and 6 pupils excelled in the recent Quadkids event for Swindon schools. They secured third place overall, with one of their boys winning the individual category and a girl coming in second place. These outstanding results have also qualified Bridlewood in the small schools category for the Wiltshire School Games, set to be held at Dauntsey’s School next week (2nd July).
