This year’s event is set to enhance Swindon’s existing mural art trail, with new works that promise to be as striking as they are meaningful. Attendees can look forward to live painting sessions across various locations throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, 31st August, Artsite on Theatre Square will host a range of workshops, including a Clothing & Tie Dye workshop, a Body Painting demo, and a Spray Can Art workshop.

The festival will conclude with a family day at Rudi’s Bar on Sunday, 1st September, ensuring a weekend filled with creativity and community engagement.

In addition to the outdoor activities, visitors can explore three unique exhibitions. “Sketches & Stuff” by Bristol-based artist Andi Burns Colwill will be on display at Artsite from Friday, 30th August to Sunday, 8th September. Oink Gallery in Old Town will host a Street Art Exhibition titled “BRICKS, DOTS + BLOCKS 2” over the festival weekend, while Gustoso Bistro and Bar will showcase works by Wiltshire artist Charlotte Abraham.

The organisers of Swindon Paint Fest remarked on the significance of the event, stating, “It’s been really important to us to continue to build on Swindon’s rich mural heritage. The amazingly talented local and international artists, travelling as far as Australia to be part of this year’s event, will be creating unique artwork that taps into everyone’s imagination.”

Local artist Charlotte Abraham, who is returning to the festival, shared her excitement: “The 2023 Swindon Paint Fest was my first taste of murals and live painting. It was such a fantastic experience, and so much so that I’m coming back for more!”

The festival’s impressive roster of artists includes Dayna Baxter, Paul Exton, Sophi Odling, Remy Uno, Jack Lack, Ricky Also, Mr Cenz, Leonidas Giannakopoulos, Emic, and Liam Bononi, all of whom will be bringing their distinct styles to the streets of Swindon.
