Visitors to Swindon’s crematorium in Kingsdown were left with ‘disgusting’ scenes when visiting this weekend.
Mementos and memories left by grieving families on their loved ones last resting places have been removed and placed in large white sacks, numbered and left behind a screen.
Visitors have been left visibly shocked with no news yet from the council whether this is an absurd health and safety move or last year’s move to ban graveside mementos making a comeback.
However the council have arrived at this course of action, it is sure to draw outrage from the whole town, in the coming days.
One visitor to the crematorium today, who visits weekly, has branded the move as ‘disgusting behaviour, one which I am sure many people are not aware of. I hope with all my heart that the people that were instructed to do this had a very heavy heart!’
