Swindon South MP Robert Buckland is calling for people to support the Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) with store and street collections.
First formed in 1981, the charity offers therapies, advice and support to MS people and their families in Swindon and the local area.
This is the only centre of its kind within a 35 mile radius of Swindon, and store and street collections help the charity to create much needed income.
“Previous store and street collections in and around Swindon have been very worthwhile and a valuable source of income for our centre,” said Sarah Heppenstall, Community Fundraiser for the group.
“They enable us to continue to offer support and valuable services to our members.
“We have a number of collections coming up in both stores and streets covering a large area, so we are looking for many people to help with these collections.”
Swindon South MP Robert Buckland continued, “The Swindon Therapy Centre for Multiple Sclerosis plays an invaluable role in the local community and is a lifeline for its many members and their families.
“If you have family and friends that could give up an hour of their time, please do get in touch with the centre.”
