A new speed limit of 30mph has been introduced on Marlborough Road between Broome Manor Lane and Coate Roundabout in response to complaints from residents about motorists’ speeds along that section of carriageway.
Following consultation with the community last summer, new signs have been erected and the reduced speed limit came into force on 6th February. Drivers are reminded that, as per the Highway Code, a 30mph speed limit applies where there is street lighting unless signed otherwise and the Council is not permitted to put up smaller reminder signs of the speed limit.
