The coming week will see traffic management on the A3102 Swindon Road from Monday (20 Feb) for five days. This is to allow construction work on the temporary access at Upper Studley Farm and will include the temporary relocation of the footpath. Commuters should be aware that there will be coning in this area to narrow the Royal Wootton Bassett-bound lane and 2-way lane running will still be in place in order to maintain traffic flow while the work is being carried out. This traffic management will be in place during peak and off-peaks hours, and traffic levels will be monitored and adjusted if required.
Earthworks, drainage and trial hole investigations continue to progress elsewhere across the site. Traffic management will continue to be implemented on the northern and southern sections of the roundabout as and when required to accommodate these various works.
The rescheduled M4 Westbound exit slip closure took place overnight on Monday 13th February. During the closure, traffic management was installed to allow works to start in that area. The M4 Eastbound exit slip road will also remain reduced to one lane off peak throughout February while work continues here.
